Our nursery room is a large bright private room. We have lots of space to set up activities. Our play activities change weekly and are designed to consolidate the learning and to develop children's skills in line with their individual next steps.
We also make the most of the space that the Hub has to offer. We are able to use the halls when they are not in use ad we do this as often as possible. We use the halls for gymnastics, yoga, sports skills, dance and giant parachute games.
We have been gradually developing our garden in to a safe space to learn and play. The children love the space we have and have opportunities to be outside at various times throughout the day to ensure they get the fresh air and exercise they need.
Our large garden is secure and private. The garden is set up to provide children with the equipment they need to consolidate their learning. It also allows children to explore new pathways of learning through open ended activities which encourage discovery through play.
Each Friday morning we put on our waterproofs and wellies and head out for adventures in the forest. Mrs Jenkins is our trained forest school leader and with the help of Roger the rabbit she encourages us to enjoy getting muddy and to learn with the freedom of open space, hills and the forest area. We explore habitats, make dens, team build, run, roll, slide, climb and most of all we have fun. Our sessions in the forest also encourage the children to take time to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature as we experience forest bathing.
